WMU selected six teens to serve as 2012 National Acteens Panelists based on their commitment to missions and participation and leadership in their Acteens group, church, school, and community.

CWJC Site Recognized for Excellence

Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) of Central Mississippi in Jackson will be able to expand their ministry and continue to reach out to women in need through an award granted by the WMU Foundation.

Changing Lives in Kentucky Through MissionsFEST

Approximately 140 missions volunteers from 13 states streamed into the Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky to share the love of Christ during MissionsFEST, Sept. 10–17.

Bell County, the primary focus of the missions blitz, has a poverty rate of 36–40 percent with a median household income more than one-third below the national average.

Missions Education Expands in West Africa Through WMU

WMU leaders from six countries met Aug. 3–5 in West Africa to begin or strengthen missions education and involvement in area churches.

The regional training took place in Burkina Faso where WMU began in January 2010.

February signals a time to step out of the winter blues and do something special for that person we care about most. Millions of dollars will be spent this month for flowers, candy, jewelry, and greeting cards. I will be one of those in the card shop looking for just the right words to remind my husband just how much I love and appreciate him. I hope he knows it all throughout the year, but just in case . . .
